O.L. House

Located within Orange’s heritage conservation area, this early 20th-century cottage had generous proportions and high ceilings but had been compromised by a series of unsympathetic renovations. Our role was to re-establish the home’s original character, working within its existing footprint to create a refined, functional, and cohesive interior.

With no further extension required, the focus was on reordering the plan and enhancing the connection between spaces. Federation detailing was reintroduced and interpreted through a timeless, English country-inspired lens—resulting in a practical and character-filled home that reflects its context and history.

This project demonstrates our approach to sustainable and considered design—maximising amenity and lifestyle outcomes through thoughtful planning rather than unnecessary expansion.
